Give a Treat to Your Flight Attendant
Kindness doesn’t have to be big or complicated to matter.
On our last flight, Auntie and Ruby brought along a small baggie of Hershey’s Kisses and handed it to our flight attendant as we boarded. No speech. No explanation. Just a simple “thank you.”
Flight attendants spend hours taking care of others, often dealing with delays, stressed passengers, and nonstop demands. A small gesture—especially one given with intention—can change their entire day.
Other Easy Ways to Show Kindness While Traveling
If you’re flying soon, here are a few ideas you can try:
-
Bring a small treat (wrapped candy, granola bars, or chocolate) to share
-
Write a short thank-you note and hand it over when you board – or use one of Ruby’s Kindness Cards!
-
Make eye contact and say a sincere “thank you for being here today”
-
Compliment something specific—a calm presence, a kind voice, a smile
-
Be patient during delays and offer grace instead of frustration
None of these cost much. All of them matter.
Kindness doesn’t need an audience. It just needs a moment—and a willing heart.
Sometimes, it looks like a handful of chocolate at 30,000 feet. 🍫💛
